gavel_multidistrict_litigation_settlements_trial_transvaginal_mesh_lawsuitsCarey Danis & Lowe recently reported on the advocacy group, Scottish Mesh Survivors, and their presentation before the Scottish Petitions Committee regarding transvaginal mesh injuries. It appears that the women who presented on behalf of Scottish Mesh Survivors have been heard by the Scottish government.

Health Secretary Alex Neil has ordered to prohibit transvaginal mesh surgical operations in Scotland until more evidence exists to better determine the safety of these products. Secretary Neil mentioned that an independent study would gather safety evidence.

Secretary Neil sympathized with victims of transvaginal mesh in referring to their injuries and suffering as a “hell”.
